Apple and Pear Chutney
Ingredients
2 tbsp butter
1 shallot chopped
1 apple, peeled and diced
1 pear, peeled and diced
1/2 c. dried cranberries
1/2 c. orange juice
1/2 c. cider
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp dijon mustard
2 tsp chopped fresh rosemary
1/2 tsp pepper
1/8 tsp cayanne pepper
Directions
Melt butter in a skillet and add apples and pears. Sautee for about 5 minutes on medium heat. Drain all but 2 tbsp of the fat/juice mixture. Add shallots and sautee over medium heat for about 5 minutes. Add all remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and cook mixture until fort and thickened, about 5-8 minutes.
