Dinner at Sunset "Monet's Garden"
In 2015 we made use of our glorious flower field and had a dinner inspired by Claude Monet's time in Giverny. Using a cookbook with Monet's own recipes, we prepared a dinner with almost exclusively local ingredients many of them coming from our own farm. Again, Laura pulled off a stunning table using heirloom plates, glassware and copper flatware. She kept the decor simple yet elegant evoking that of a French countryside and a rustic, garden dining experience. Special touches were added from Gary Hamel who brought some items from his own impressionist collection including a Matisse lithograph. It was another magical night for our family in this idyllic setting.
